Symantec Security Threatcon Status for 2011-10-17

On October 11, 2011, Microsoft released its scheduled patch update for October 2011. This month's update covers vulnerabilities in the Microsoft Windows operating system and its components, as well as vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer, .NET Framework, Unified Access Gateway, Windows Media Center TV Pack, and Host Integration Server. Eight security bulletins have been released to address these issues.

There has been no widepsread malicious activity since the Microsoft scheduled release. Please apply patches if you have not already done so.
